Successful technical products keep their promises. I use words, code, information architecture, automation, and AI workflows to make them easier to understand, use, trust, and adopt. If I see a bump in the user journey, I don't just put up a BUMP AHEAD sign. I smooth it out. At Snowflake: I built the information architecture for AI/ML documentation around the needs of data analysts and SQL developers, and mentored two writers as a dedicated team took shape. At AWS: I led the CDK Developer Guide through two major releases, improved setup and teardown of the infrastructure used to run code examples, and contributed product code to simplify developer workflows. At Microsoft: I built the JFK Hoover Bot, a working four-service Azure application and tutorial that made a complex AI and search architecture tangible. At Tecplot: I automated documentation delivery across four products and shipped enduring product usability improvements. I've been getting users unstuck with words, code, and automation since the industry's early days, and I have the receipts: I'm a top 0.1% Stack Overflow contributor. Other people's stuck code; my words and patches. Today, I’m working on projects to make AI prompts less ambiguous and to improve machine translation by preserving the engaging qualities found in the best writing.
