Natural Resources Manager| Sustainability, CAFO & Nutrient Management, Climate-Smart Ag, Permitting | 15+ Years in Conservation Across 6 States
In my current role as Natural Resources Manager with Tillamook County Creamery Association, I work directly with dairy producers to advance sustainability across a cooperative network of farms. My work includes implementing soil monitoring programs, supporting environmental compliance, and helping develop strategies to address Scope 3 agricultural emissions within the supply chain. This work has strengthened my interest in approaches that combine science, producer engagement, and practical management strategies to deliver measurable environmental outcomes. Prior to this role, I spent nearly a decade with the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service serving in positions including Soil Conservationist, Grazing Lands Specialist, Area Resource Conservationist, State Rangeland Management Specialist, and Natural Resource Specialist supporting national initiatives. During that time, I worked across multiple states and landscapes providing conservation planning, technical assistance, and program delivery to agricultural producers and communities. I also regularly served in leadership roles such as Acting District Conservationist and Acting Assistant Director for Field Operations, supervising staff, coordinating teams, and supporting regional program implementation. Throughout my career I have focused on building partnerships across federal agencies, state governments, conservation organizations, and private landowners. I have worked closely with partners including NRCS, the U.S. Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, and state wildlife agencies to implement conservation programs and deliver projects that improve soil health, protect water resources, and support resilient agricultural systems.
