Islem Deneche

Full-stack and mobile developer with over a year of professional experience at Progix, where I work remotely from Algeria with Canadian clients. I build and maintain 16+ production applications across web and mobile using TypeScript, Node.js, NestJS, Express, React, Next.js, and React Native (Expo), and I have published cross-platform apps to both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store. On the back end, I design REST APIs documented with Swagger/OpenAPI, work with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Supabase, and secure services with JWT/OAuth, input validation, and rate limiting. My query optimizations improved performance by 30%, and front-end tuning cut page load times by 25%. I integrate Stripe, Auth0, and other third-party services, write unit and integration tests (85% coverage), and ship through Docker and GitHub Actions CI/CD to Vercel, Render, AWS, and VPS, maintaining 99.9% uptime across multiple deployments. I recently completed my Master's degree in IT Systems and Decision, with a focus on machine learning, distributed systems, and advanced algorithms, and I have hands-on experience with Python, scikit-learn, and XGBoost. Earlier this year I also worked on-site as a software engineer intern, which sharpened my ability to communicate with non-technical teams. I'm looking for a remote full-stack, back-end, or mobile role where I can own features end to end and collaborate closely with product and design teams. I thrive in async-first environments, communicate proactively, document my work, and enjoy mentoring students.
