Campaign Intern, recent college graduate in International Relations
I recently graduated from the University of Minnesota with a B.A. in Global Studies and a minor in African Studies, and I am eager to apply my skills in research, outreach, and communication to meaningful work that supports communities and drives positive change. My experience includes working as a Campaign Intern for Mayor Jacob Frey’s campaign, where I supported voter outreach, coordinated volunteers, and assisted with community events. This role strengthened my ability to connect with diverse groups, communicate effectively, and contribute to fast-paced, mission-driven work. In addition, as a Teacher Assistant for Voices of African Women, I facilitated discussions, supported student learning, and contributed to research and course development. My leadership role as Treasurer of the Black Student Association further developed my organizational skills, as I managed budgets, planned events, and collaborated with teams to promote inclusion and engagement. I am particularly interested in opportunities that allow me to work remotely while contributing to global or community-focused initiatives. My academic background has given me a strong understanding of international issues, and my language skills—fluent in English, proficient in French, and native in Zarma and Hausa—allow me to engage across cultures. I am passionate about work that supports equity, civic engagement, and global development. I would welcome the opportunity to contribute my skills and continue growing in a role that aligns with my interests in international studies and public service.
