I keep an active swipe file of headlines, CTAs, and full campaigns, and for each one I break down exactly why it works: the emotional trigger, the structure, the specific words doing the heavy lifting. I haven't worked with paying clients yet, but I treat every practice piece like it's going live — tight, benefit-led, written for a specific reader instead of a general audience. I'm comfortable taking feedback and rewriting fast, because that's most of what good copywriting actually is. Right now I'm looking for my first real opportunity — a small business, a startup, or a freelance gig — where I can prove this in practice instead of just on paper.
