At NOCO Humane Society, I supported daily operations by coordinating schedules, responding to calls, and helping staff and members of the public get the information they needed. I handled approximately 40 calls a day, often balancing several requests while keeping communication clear and professional. The work required me to listen carefully, identify what needed immediate attention, and make sure each request reached the right person. I helped keep daily coverage organized, adjusted plans when needs changed, and communicated updates to the people involved. I also trained two new dispatchers, walking them through procedures and helping them build confidence in the role. Because the work involved both people and animals, I understood the importance of staying calm, accurate, and compassionate, especially when someone called about a stressful situation. My time at NOCO Humane Society strengthened my ability to manage a busy workload, solve problems as they arose, and work with a team whose priorities could change quickly. I took pride in being dependable and in helping the organization serve the community effectively.
