Gabriela Fernandes

I work at the intersection of Product, behavioural science, user research and technology, with four years of hands-on experience taking a digital health product from discovery through requirements, delivery, testing and field evaluation. On MRunners, I coordinated a cross-functional team spanning UX, engineering, HCI, data science, sport science and behavioural research to deliver and evaluate three product versions. I translated mixed-method user evidence into product requirements, prioritisation and technical decisions, and worked across both highly technical discussions and stakeholder-facing communication, often influencing direction without formal authority. I also build with AI. I developed two applications using AI-assisted development tools, including Royal Rest Finder, which went from problem framing to private beta in about seven weeks, and a personal Macro Tracker. Beyond product building, I designed governed Codex workflows for manuscript and bibliography quality control, using persistent context, Git, checksum verification and human escalation, and specified a privacy-first job-search system in Python/SQLite with job-board ingestion, canonical records, lifecycle tracking, geography checks, deterministic relevance filtering and ATS-variant grouping. My background is highly interdisciplinary, spanning psychology, HCI, behavioural science, physics and technology. I also have several years of teaching, mentoring and supervision experience, which strengthened my ability to explain complex ideas, coach others and adapt communication across technical and non-technical audiences. I’m looking for a remote Product, Product Discovery, Product Operations, Product Insights or closely related role where I can combine user understanding, experimentation, data-informed decision-making, AI-assisted product building and cross-functional delivery.
