Enishan Sardoğan

I am a GIS-focused backend developer with a Computer Engineering degree from Karabük University, currently completing a Master's in Computer Engineering. I build the data and server side of geospatial applications: PostgreSQL databases, API microservices, and Linux-based deployment with CI/CD. I have worked professionally in this area since May 2024, more than two years, as a Backend Developer on a TÜBİTAK-funded international research project involving 4 countries and 7 universities. The project is a GIS application for eco-aware transportation planning in Okinawa. Two things I achieved: On that project, I architected the PostgreSQL database schema, optimized data query operations, and managed the full deployment lifecycle on VPS infrastructure, including CI/CD, system maintenance, and production updates. I published two scientific papers, one on geospatial visualization of Istanbul's daily traffic and one on aircraft detection from remote sensing images using Mask R-CNN. A third paper, on eco-aware route planning in Okinawa, is accepted for the GeoSofia 2026 conference. .My toolset includes Python, SQL, PostgreSQL, Docker, Linux, JavaScript/TypeScript, and ArcGIS Online, and I work fluently in English (C2).
