I'm Dev, a product designer with 2+ years of experience. I was the only designer at an early stage AI startup, owned research through developer handoff on a candidate evaluation platform, and built the design system from scratch. The AI scored candidates correctly and recruiters ignored it anyway, they couldn't see the reasoning behind a ranking and wouldn't act on a judgment they hadn't made themselves. I redesigned around that, surfaced the decision relevant signal first, and showed low confidence honestly instead of hiding it behind a clean number. Recruiter satisfaction moved to 95 percent. The product later scaled from a single evaluation tool into a full ATS, and the design system I'd built for the smaller scope broke at that complexity. I rebuilt it rather than patch around it, which taught me to design for the product a company is becoming, not just the one it currently is. At an agency I designed for web and mobile across five to six client accounts at once. I'm currently doing independent product and design consultancy, including a two sided marketplace redesign for a solar energy client in the US. I'm looking for a remote or hybrid product design role where I can own a problem end to end, not just execute a piece of it, ideally at an early stage or fast moving company where design shapes product direction, not just visuals.
