I'm a full-stack developer, and I've been building web products for over 12 years, mostly with Ruby on Rails and React, and more recently with Python and AI tools. Two things I'm proud of: - I co-founded Creative Tim, a store for Bootstrap and React themes that grew to over 500,000 users. I built the Rails platform, the payment integrations and most of the internal tools, and designed many of the themes myself. - In 2026 I built Claire, an AI assistant for Clarytas. It combines domain-specific prompts with internal tools and external APIs, with guardrails and context management to keep its answers accurate for real users. Along the way I've also upgraded legacy Rails apps, improved backend performance for an e-bike company, and built my own cycling training platform, VeloVostra, on Rails 7 with Tailwind, mostly with Claude Code. I've been part of the Toptal network since 2020 and I'm based in Bucharest, Romania. What I'm looking for next is a part-time remote role, up to 20 hours a week, where I can own an existing Rails app: fixing bugs, upgrading versions, keeping it stable and adding new features. I'd also love work adding AI features to a product that already has users. I work well on my own, communicate clearly, and care a lot about the details users notice.
