Cindy Teboe

My name is Cindy and I am a state certified teacher from Florida. Many say I am a "true Floridian" as I was born in Florida, raised in Florida, and never left Florida. I graduated with my bachelor's degree in education from Florida Gulf Coast University. In May of 2025 I earned my Master's degree in elementary education with special education Grand Canyon University. I obtained this degree in less than 18 months with a 3.98 GPA. Before teaching, I worked in the daycare system. I have taught 5th grade, 3rd grade, kindergarten, and most recently 6th grade math. My professional license issues from the Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) are for grades K-6. However, I am working to obtain my professional certification from the FLDOE in secondary math by the end of 2026. It is safe to say I love mathematics! Within my time in the classroom I have not only helped students learn and succeed in the subject matter, but have also built strong relationships with them. On the side, I also tutor students in math. The students I tutor have since improved in math, one even getting back onto the honor roll after falling off. As someone who has struggled academically while in grade school, I understand that math can be difficult and frustrating. In addition, I understand that a classroom is not always the best fit for a student to get the free and appropriate education they are entitled to. I communicate effectively with parents on a regular basis to best help that student. In my free time I enjoy watching YouTube, Disney+, reading, spending time with my cats, talking walks, going to the gym, seeing my friends, and writing! I would be very interested in teaching remotely, especially math, for elementary school and middle school. I can also help with Algebra 1 for those who are struggling. I hope to set up an interview sometime soon!
