I’m Carmen Cellini, a millennial Italian/Colombian fashion designer, always attracted by distinctive details, contrasts, and the aesthetic of the 80s. I have been designing for as long as I can remember, it is in my DNA, I feel it running through my veins. I am constantly searching for stimulation and creative contamination. As a child, I used to watch my grandmother with admiration while she read fashion magazines and worked at her sewing machine. What came out of her hands felt like pure magic to me. Sometimes your roots give you exactly the push you need to understand who you really want to be and the strength to build it step by step. Over the years, I have enriched my cultural background by reading iconic fashion magazines, studying the biographies of visionary designers such as Karl Lagerfeld, exploring fashion photography — particularly the elegant surrealism of Tim Walker — watching a wide range of 80s cinema, and admiring the powerful body art performances of Vanessa Beecroft. All these influences have shaped and continue to shape my personal aesthetic. Alongside my work as a fashion designer, I have also worked as an editor for several fashion and lifestyle magazines, an experience that has further strengthened my vision, critical eye, and understanding of contemporary trends and visual storytelling. I consider myself open-minded and meticulous, always searching for the unexpected detail that can enrich both my work and my soul — because I believe that true difference lies in the details.
