I solve important business problems with impactful solutions. I've been building companies, teams, and products that still work since 2003. Most of my job titles have an engineering focus, but don’t let that fool you; I’ve always been responsible for strategy and operations. The engineering titles are there mostly because engineering, historically, has been one of the most difficult skills to find, but right now, with AI doing a good enough job, I believe strategy and operations are more important, and I want to focus on those more deeply. I was the first engineering hire at Sunsama back in 2019 and have helped build a great team, culture, and product roadmap there. I recently left them to find a different challenge after all these years. Before Sunsama, I architected and built the new (and current) Developer Platform at Zapier, growing the team from 0-20 while Zapier grew from 30-300+. Before that I also coached and grew a fully remote team of 30 to 100+ engineers, as Lumenalta’s CTO, coding in and managing a lot of different kinds of businesses and projects across different industries. I’m extremely resourceful and can figure out, learn about, and meet with the right people to solve any kind of important problem for the business.
