Enterprise Security Architect | 18+ years | Zero Trust · OT/ICS · Cloud Security · Critical Infrastructure I build and lead enterprise security programs that hold up in the real world — across county government, cloud environments, critical infrastructure, and OT/ICS utility operations. In 2015, I joined Osceola County as its first dedicated cybersecurity hire. I built the security function from the ground up into a 6-person team protecting a 2,000+ user environment — standing up SOC operations, maturing incident response, leading cyber insurance and audit cycles, and driving Zero Trust adoption across Microsoft 365 GCC, Azure, Entra ID, and Intune. In 2019, I detected and stopped an active ransomware outbreak mid-execution. I halted lateral spread across the network, led the forensic analysis, and recovered 500+ GB of encrypted data — with zero ransom paid. That response also supported an FBI investigation into the threat actors involved. Beyond county government, I've spent 15+ years providing security leadership for public water utilities — architecting and securing a $1M SCADA system, hardening PLC and Modbus-based OT/ICS environments across multiple remote sites, and helping organizations obtain their first cyber insurance policies. My work is grounded in NIST CSF, NIST 800-82, CIS Controls, and CJIS Security Policy. What I do that's harder to find: I bridge architecture and execution. I can design the Zero Trust roadmap and also lead the incident response call at 2am. I translate complex risk into decisions executives can act on — and I've done it across government, utility, and critical infrastructure environments simultaneously for over a decade.
