I build platforms that make engineering orgs faster and more reliable: quality gates, test infrastructure, and AI-coding enablement — not features for end users, but the tools that let every other team ship with confidence. I've been doing this for 20+ years, most recently 4 years at Upstart doing Staff/Principal-scope work on a Senior title, and before that leading operations platform work at VMware. Two things I'm proud of: I took SonarQube at Upstart from an opt-in tool nobody trusted to the default quality gate across 400+ projects and 300+ repositories, running 2,000+ scans a day, rolling it out to 50+ services in three weeks. And at VMware, I architected a SaaS operations platform for 1,250+ application instances from scratch, with CI/CD and HA/DR built in from day one, targeting 99.99% uptime. What I want next: a fully remote Staff Developer Experience / Developer Productivity role, or an adjacent Staff-level backend/platform seat, where I can take on ambiguous, org-wide problems and turn them into platforms other teams actually adopt. I do my best work with real ownership and a team that makes decisions and sticks with them.
