I'm a Social and Behavior Change Communication (SBCC) specialist, screenwriter, and director with 14 years of experience turning sensitive social issues into content and community programs that actually shift behavior, not just awareness. Based in Burundi, I've spent 10 years directing community theater, radio drama, and film, and 8 years coordinating multi-partner socioeconomic empowerment programs with UNICEF, the EU Delegation, Africalia, and other international partners, reaching nearly 19,000 adolescents and young people. I created the CPC (Body-Word-Choir) method, an original staging approach for carrying difficult messages on gender-based violence, mental health, and historical memory, used in over 60 community productions across Burundi. As Executive Director of Umunyinya asbl, I manage the full portfolio: proposal writing, donor reporting, partnership negotiation, and delivery, for funders including UNICEF, the French Embassy, and the EU Delegation to Burundi. My work has toured internationally (Germany, Rwanda, Uganda, DRC, Tunisia, Belgium, Austria, Switzeland...), been featured by Deutsche Welle and the Kulturstiftung des Bundes, and I'm a Northwestern University Ama Ata Aidoo Fellow and Lincoln Center Theatre Directors Lab alum. Fluent in Kirundi, Swahili, French, and English. I'm looking for a remote role in SBCC strategy, content design, or program coordination with an international organization, INGO, or UN agency work where storytelling, community mobilization, and cross-cultural partnership management drive measurable social change.
