I'm a retired broadcast journalist with over 30 years of experience from being a field reporter to being newswriter, producer, radio host, and news director. After retiring from radio, I felt I wasn't ready to rest and went into being a radio correspondent for an English-language news program based in Indonesia, and started working as a writer and editor for a Los Angeles-based news magazine, working remotely. I spent over 10 years with that outlet full-time and was recently terminated because they'd like to concentrate on U.S.-based staff. I learned a lot with them when they started using AI for writing, being assigned to formulate prompts in order to produce news stories from notes, transcripts, and even meeting agenda and editing the product for reader-friendliness, especially that their content is locally-focused. I will be able to produce stories fast using AI and polish them with my experienced judgement in order to meet your deadlines.
