I have spent three decades writing software and two leading the people who write it. But the question that actually keeps me working is narrower: can an intelligent system serve human dignity, or does it just optimize past it? That question is Digital Humanism — the conviction that we must shape technologies in accordance with human values and needs, instead of letting technologies shape us. It's why I've spent recent years on NLP, LLMs, and AI governance, and on a body of research and translation work built around Persian/Farsi, a language spoken by more than 150 million people yet still underserved by the tools shaping how information moves. As a CAIDP Fellow, I study where that shaping goes wrong — autonomous weapons, algorithmic accountability, decisions that affect human rights being made by machines instead of people. Not a detour from technical work. The same question, at a different scale. None of this comes from theory alone. Founding and running software companies, building PMOs, delivering BI and AI systems under real budgets and real deadlines — that experience is why the governance work stays grounded rather than abstract. I hold an MSc in Information Technology from Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic), and I welcome collaborations in AI, NLP, digital humanism, and human-centered technology — including consulting work in AI strategy, LLM/NLP implementation, and project management.
