I am a clinical occupational therapist interested in pursuing a career transition to Revenue Cycle Management analytics; project management. With over 10 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist across acute care and inpatient rehabilitation settings, I bring a strong clinical foundation combined with a growing focus on healthcare operations, payer requirements, and documentation integrity. In my clinical roles, I have consistently worked within the intersection of patient care and reimbursement. I ensure that my documentation clearly supports medical necessity, aligns with CMS and payer guidelines, and facilitates accurate and timely billing. I have collaborated closely with interdisciplinary teams, case management, and administrative staff to ensure care plans and discharge recommendations meet coverage criteria and support efficient patient flow. Through this experience, I have developed a deep understanding of how clinical decision-making, documentation quality, and insurance requirements directly impact prior authorizations, claim outcomes, and denial prevention. I am particularly interested in transitioning into a role where I can focus more directly on these processes, supporting authorization workflows, improving efficiency, and contributing to stronger revenue cycle performance. While I am not currently Epic-certified, I have hands-on experience working within EHR systems and quickly adapt to new platforms and workflows.
