Akash Verma

I’m a filmmaker, cinematographer and AI Video Producer based in India with over five years of experience working across film, advertising, branded content and digital media. Over the years, I’ve collaborated with global and national brands including Diageo, Sony, Coca-Cola, Campus, BBC News, Chicco, Probo India and government organizations, creating commercials, branded films, and digital campaigns. My foundation in storytelling comes from theatre. For the past seven years, I have been actively involved in theatre as a performer and creator, performing in more than 30 productions across India and the United States. Theatre has shaped my understanding of character, emotion, and human behavior, which strongly influences my visual storytelling and approach to filmmaking. I was awarded a fully funded scholarship by the U.S. State Department to study filmmaking at Northampton Community College in the United States. During this time, I trained in filmmaking and performance while also participating in theatre productions and collaborative creative projects. Alongside my work in film and theatre, I have worked as a cinematographer, editor and creative producer on music videos, short films, documentaries, wedding films, corporate videos, podcasts, educational content and television commercials. Recently, I worked in the camera department as a 3rd Assistant Camera on the feature film Subedaar, starring Anil Kapoor, assisting cinematographer Ayan Saxena. This experience further strengthened my understanding of professional film production and large-scale cinematic workflows. In recent years, I have also expanded into AI-driven visual production, working as an AI Video Producer creating high-quality AI-generated video content, cinematic visuals and digital storytelling pieces that combine traditional filmmaking techniques with emerging creative technologies.
