Adrian Popescu

I am a seasoned software architect with 25 years of industry experience spanning diverse business domains including finance, networking, retail, and cyber-security, with particular focus on the latter over the past five years. Throughout my career as a software engineer, I have earned multiple certifications demonstrating my expertise: four Java certifications from Sun (SCJP, SCJD, SCWCD, SCEA) and the OCM JEE Enterprise Architect certification from Oracle. My technical stack primarily leverages AWS for cloud services, with extensive experience in relational databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle. I have participated in complete software delivery lifecycles, from initial requirements gathering through production deployment in on-premises environments. As a result-oriented perfectionist, I am particularly passionate about system design, application architecture and implementation, and maintaining exceptional product quality standards. In addition to my hands-on architectural work, I teach a software architecture training class, sharing my knowledge and experience with aspiring architects and senior developers. Outside of work, I enjoy chess, literature, table tennis, pool, and traveling.
