Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications and systems
Write, test, and debug COBOL, JCL, and other mainframe-based code
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions
Analyze and resolve mainframe system issues and performance bottlenecks
Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards
Support mainframe batch processing, job scheduling, and automation
Document technical specifications, processes, and system changes
Requirements:
Proven experience in mainframe development (COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, or similar)
Strong understanding of z/OS or IBM mainframe environments
Experience with mainframe debugging tools such as XPEDITER or File-AID
Familiarity with batch processing, VSAM, and data management techniques
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
