Your Impact

As a Working Student Finance & Accounting (all genders) at eduki, you reliably cover recurring operational Finance to support the team. Over time, you'll become a dependable, largely autonomous contributor on your core tasks. Here are the key responsibilities you'll own:

• Accounting Support: Support accounting processes in close collaboration with the Finance team across national and international operations.
• Account Reconciliation: Perform account reconciliations and ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Invoice & Payment Processing: Handle invoice review, receipt management, and manual matching of payments to invoices, including resolving discrepancies.
• Stakeholder Communication: Communicate with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., customers and authors) regarding payment requests, corrections, and cancellations.
• Finance Operations & Controls: Assist with payment monitoring, audit preparation, process documentation, and ad-hoc finance and operations tasks.

Your Skills and Expertise

We're looking for a detail-oriented, reliable Working Student (all genders) who brings structure to operational finance work and is eager to grow with us. Furthermore, you should check the following boxes: 

• You are currently enrolled as a student at a German university, ideally with a focus or strong interest in Finance or Accounting.
• You have foundational knowledge in Accounting and Finance.
• You have experience working with DATEV or similar accounting software.
• You possess exceptional attention to detail and catch errors before they become problems.
• You are reliable and structured in your work style, consistently delivering quality output.
• You have strong German proficiency (written and spoken) to handle German accounting requirements.
• Nice-to-Have: Experience in Finance Ops and solid English proficiency are a plus. 

Please note: Due to legal restrictions, we can only hire candidates living in and owning a valid work permit for Germany. eduki is a registered employer in Germany, and you will receive a direct work contract with us according to German work law.

Market-Aligned Compensation: As a working student at eduki, you will receive an hourly pay of 15 EUR, depending on your competencies and skills. Additionally, you will receive paid vacation, based on how many days per week you will work, and paid sick leave days.
