YOUR TEAM

To support our development team working on a high-performance computing and integration ECU, we are looking for a motivated working student. You will gain first-hand experience in advanced automotive system development and become an integral part of an interdisciplinary team. Our focus is the development and optimization of vehicle software for a central ECU within the Volkswagen Group's premium E/E Architecture. The team works across the full spectrum of modern automotive engineering, including E/E Architecture, Automotive Bus Communication, In-Vehicle Diagnostics & Update, Safety & Security and Testing. 

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Support the team in solving complex technical challenges  
  • Contribute to system development activities across different disciplines  
  • Take ownership of individual work packages and technical topics  
  • Support requirements engineering, analysis, and documentation  
  • Collaborate with experts from different engineering domains 

WHO YOU ARE

  • Enrolled student in the area of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering or similar field 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn 
  • Basic knowledge in Automotive communication protocols (LIN, CAN, Automotive Ethernet) 
  • Basic knowledge in Automotive E/E Architectures 
  • Basic knowledge in AUTOSAR or Linux-based systems 
  • Basic knowledge of one or more of the following areas is a plus: Vehicle diagnostics, Functional safety, Cybersecurity, Requirements engineering 

NICE TO KNOW

  • Remote work options within Germany             
  • Duration: 6 months (with the option to extend up to two years) 
  • 20 hours/week, up to 35 hours/week during the semester break 
  • Salary: 17,80€/hour
