The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing our accounts receivable process, ensuring timely payments from our business clients while maintaining positive and professional relationships. Responsibilities
- Proactively manage a portfolio of client accounts to ensure timely payment of outstanding invoices.
- Initiate collection communications with clients through phone calls and professional emails.
- Negotiate payment plans and settlements with clients to resolve outstanding balances in a mutually agreeable manner.
- Investigate and resolve any billing discrepancies or client queries promptly and efficiently.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all collection activities and client communications within our financial systems.
- Collaborate closely with the sales and account management teams to address any issues affecting payment.
- Prepare regular reports on the status of aged receivables and collection efforts for management review.
- Adhere to all company policies and relevant legal guidelines regarding collections.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working as a Collections Representative, Accounts Receivable Clerk, or in a similar finance role, preferably within a B2B environment.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in all work.
- The ability to handle sensitive financial information with the utmost confidentiality and professionalism.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
