Bitrefill is remote-first. This is full-time. You'll need solid overlap with both European and Latin American time zones.
Bitrefill lets people spend crypto on real stuff: gift cards, mobile top-ups, subscriptions, bill payments. 180+ countries. Profitable since launch. Over 12 years in and still building.
The team is about 90 people, fully distributed. Product decisions are made close to the work. The role sits within a focused squad of 5-7 people: engineers and designers who take pride in what they ship. Few meetings. Lots of autonomy.
Bitrefill's early product decisions came from people who live on crypto themselves. That intuition built the foundation, but the company has reached a scale where intuition alone is not enough. This role is about turning scattered knowledge of crypto-native users into a systematic product strategy.
The market is also shifting. DeFi users are moving from speculation toward investing. Yield positions, airdrop proceeds, stablecoin salaries: real wealth that people want to use without friction. Bitrefill needs a product manager who understands this transition and can build for it.
THE HARD PROBLEMS
This role exists because these challenges, and many more, remain open:
Users hold assets across Arbitrum, Base, Solana, and elsewhere. Checkout needs to feel simple without obscuring the complexity that actually matters.
WalletConnect sessions drop, signing flows vary across wallets, and mobile browser behavior is inconsistent. A payment experience that works reliably across these conditions does not yet exist.
When someone claims an airdrop or exits a lending position, they have liquidity. Reaching them at the right moment, without being intrusive, is an unsolved design problem.
High-value users transact thousands per month. A $2,000 gift card purchase requires confidence that the system will work. That trust must be built into the product itself.
Own product discovery, planning, and delivery for crypto-native features
Conduct direct research with users who spend crypto daily: understand their setups, workarounds, and frustrations
Write specifications with clear requirements and acceptance criteria; manage the backlog; ship end-to-end alongside engineering and design
Make integration decisions about chains, wallets, and protocols, based on usage data rather than market hype
Facilitate cross-functional coordination with compliance, marketing, support, and operations
Represent Bitrefill in crypto communities and at industry conferences
Experience
8+ years in product management, ideally in payments, e-commerce, or fintech
Track record of shipping products with real adoption
Experience leading work across distributed teams and time zones
Practical experience with DeFi: vaults, collateralized positions, bridging, gas dynamics
Familiarity with wallet UX across desktop and mobile
Ability to decompose large problems into shippable increments
Skill in facilitating alignment across engineering, design, and business functions
Clear written communication: specifications, decision documents, async updates
Working with AI
AI is already part of the workflow: drafting specifications, building quick prototypes, improving written communication
Able to close the gap between product thinking and technical implementation
Self-directed use, not waiting for an AI strategy to be handed down
Mindset
Skepticism toward hype, curiosity toward actual usage patterns
Preference for shipping small things that work over large things that do not
Comfort with ambiguity, paired with the ability to create clarity for others
