American Specialty Health Incorporated (ASH) is seeking a VPTOT Manager I-Rehabilitation Services – Virtual Physical Therapy to join our Health Services department.
The purpose of this position is to provide direct virtual care to patients, provide support to the development/ongoing clinical administration of the Virtual PT/OT program.
Salary Range
American Specialty Health complies with state and federal wage and hour laws and compensation depends upon candidate’s qualifications, education, skill set, years of experience, and internal equity. $69,200.00 to $100,000.00 Full-Time Annual Salary range.
Remote Worker Guidelines
- Remote Worker Guidelines: This position will be trained remotely and must be able to work from home (WFH) in a designated work area with company-provided technology equipment. This WFH position requires you have a stable connection to your Internet Service Provider with the ability to participate by video in online meetings over a reliable and consistent network. The internet connection must have a consistent 50 down/10 up Mbps minimum internet speed. 100 down/20 up is recommended to support higher quality video meetings.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct Virtual PT/OT clinical healthcare services and support the ongoing development of the Virtual PT/OT program.
*Provide evidence based virtual care using synchronous and asynchronous solutions and resources to members/patients who reside in a state where the employee is licensed.
*Services include, but are not limited to completing necessary Evaluation and Reevaluation, scheduled visits, follow up support to members/patients in between scheduled sessions, as well as all related communications and actions necessary to support and document care.
*Maintains independent clinical judgment that advocates for the member/patient using appropriate clinical practice guidelines and standards.
*Deliver direct virtual care according to the standard of practice in the staff member’s licensed state(s) and applicable ASH clinical practice guidelines.
*Deliver direct virtual care according to the applicable provisions of the Provider Services Agreement, Provider Operations Manual and Administrative Guidelines.
*Assist and support the development and ongoing management of Virtual PT/OT program including, but not limited:- Interviews
- Mentoring
- Provider Training
- Provider Network Management
- Program development
*Manage conflicts of interests, including requesting patients be reassigned prior to providing treatment if you have participated in a medical necessity verification review or other quality case review with the potential member/patient.
*The percentage of time in each of the job duties will vary based on the volume of cases and appointments that need to be managed by the team. During some periods there may be more of one type of task that takes most of the employee’s time while other periods of time a different task focus may be needed.
- Perform administrative task to support responsibilities including:
- Completing any required and necessary trainings.
- Completing clinical continuing education requirements and necessary actions to maintain licenses.
- Completes trainings to understand the necessary patient / member confidentiality regarding the decisions made about members/patients to avoid violating any privacy regulations and to avoid inappropriate influence decision making across the functions by the staff member or others.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Complies with all policies and standards.
Qualifications
- Professional degree in PT/OT/SLP from accredited college or university required.
- Additional post graduate degree in same or related field preferred.
- 5 years of clinical experience required.
- Specific experience providing direct virtual services preferred.
- Understanding of Physical Therapy evidence-based guidelines and best practices required.
- Working knowledge of managed Physical Therapy services is preferred.
- Advanced training or certification in any specialty areas of Physical Therapy, (e.g. orthopedics, pediatrics, neurology, virtual care) preferred.
- Must meet ASH clinical credentialing requirements.
- Ability to understand and follow ASH processes and procedures.
- Ability to use applicable computer and software systems including, but not limited to, Outlook, MS-WORD, IHIS, ASHCore, ASHLink, ASHCare and EHR.
- Work independently, receiving minimal guidance and supervision.
- A current, unrestricted license to practice in his/her health care specialty is required.
- Employees must maintain a current, unrestricted license to practice and must be in good standing with all judicial and governing bodies to support assigned functions.
- Must be willing and able to acquire additional unrestricted state licensure to practice in his/her health care specialty based on business needs.
