Volunteer Manager

Description

South Project is a nonprofit dedicated to empowering young moms through mentorship, resources, and community support. We are looking for a volunteer to help by being a Volunteer Manager to assist with the coordination, and engagement of volunteers across all programs and initiatives. This is a remote volunteer position ideal for someone with strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills who wants to gain experience in nonprofit management and make a meaningful impact.

What You'll Do:

• Provide orientation, training, and ongoing support to volunteers.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for volunteers, responding to questions and concerns promptly.

• Match volunteers with opportunities that align with their skills and the organization’s needs.

• Coordinate volunteer recognition efforts, including appreciation events and communications.

• Collaborate with staff to identify and develop meaningful volunteer roles.

• Track and report on volunteer engagement to organizational leadership.

• Support the creation of a positive, inclusive, and welcoming volunteer culture.

Time Commitment:

• Flexible, remote role

• Estimated 5-10 hours per week

• Comfortable using digital tools in Microsoft 365.
