The HIMS Educator provides training on ICD-10 coding, CMS 13 compliance, and documentation standards to coders, physicians, and staff. They ensure organizational compliance with regulatory and accreditation agencies while fostering an inclusive and diverse work environment.
The HIMS Educator provides education in the HIMS field to the coders, HIMS personnel, physicians and other departments in relation to ICD-10 coding for the UB and the PAI, CMS 13 compliance, PHI and documentation. Ensures compliance with accreditation and regulatory agencies thru education opportunities identified and provided. This position will support cultural diversity by promoting and maintaining an inclusive work environment and culture that is respectful and accepting of diversity.
All employees must reside within 150-mile radius of an Encompass Health Inpatient hospital.
