Koinly is one of the fastest-growing crypto tax platforms in the world. We have an established YouTube channel, a global audience, and a product that people genuinely need help understanding. Video is one of our highest-potential channels, and we need someone who can turn it into a real growth engine.
We're looking for a Video Content Manager who thinks like a producer, not just a creator. Someone who runs a production pipeline, manages presenters and editors, writes scripts driven by data, and squeezes maximum value out of every piece of video across YouTube, TikTok, and beyond. You won't be on camera. You'll be the person who makes everything behind the camera work.
The mission: Own Koinly's video channels end-to-end. Build and run the production pipeline, grow the audience, and make video a measurable growth channel.
Team: Marketing
Report to: Content Lead
Location: Remote - Europe
Employment type: Full-time (contractor - B2B)
Experience level: 4+ years
Perks: 32 days PTO, 100% Async culture, flexible schedule, and true autonomy.
🚀 Work within one of the most rapidly growing industries in the world.
Own the full video production pipeline: strategy, scripting, production coordination, publishing, and optimisation.
Write scripts purpose-built for video. Paced for retention, structured for spoken delivery, not blog posts reformatted.
Manage a network of freelance presenters across different markets. Brief them, review their output, give feedback, and keep timelines on track.
Manage external video editors. You don't need to edit everything yourself, ideally you have skills to do the work fast if needed, but you need to brief well, judge quality, and unblock yourself for quick-turnaround content when needed.
Think in systems, not individual uploads. One shoot should produce multiple outputs: a YouTube video, TikTok clips, social cuts, ad creative, product demos.
Own YouTube and other video channels end-to-end. Define the content strategy, publish consistently, and grow both channels.
Explore and own new video formats: webinars (production side), product demos, long-form to short-form repurposing, video ads.
Own video SEO across platforms: titles, thumbnails, descriptions, tags. Know what stops a scroll and what drives a click.
Use YouTube Studio and analytics to make decisions, not just to report. Understand what CTR means for your thumbnails, how watch time affects recommendations, and when to kill a format vs double down. You are obsessed with data.
Iterate based on data. Test hooks, intros, segment lengths. Look at retention curves to see where viewers drop off and adjust scripts accordingly.
You've grown a video channel and can prove it with numbers. You write scripts that are built for the screen, not the page. You think about video as a production system, and you know how to get the most out of every shoot across multiple platforms and formats.
5+ years in video production or video marketing, with a focus on educational or technical content.
You can point to a video channel you grew or contributed to growing, with specific numbers. Not "I managed uploads." Show the growth and your role in it.
You write scripts. Purpose-built for video, driven by retention data, structured for spoken delivery.
Video producer mindset: you think about maximising the value of every piece of video across channels, not just making individual YouTube uploads.
Experience managing freelancers remotely: presenters, editors, or both. You know how to brief, review, and keep things moving across time zones.
Data-driven on platform analytics. You can diagnose why a video got impressions but low CTR, or good CTR but low watch time, and you know what to change.
Visual eye for thumbnails, pacing, and editing quality. You don't need to be an editor, but you need to know what good looks like and brief it clearly.
Comfortable operating autonomously in a remote, async environment. You set your own calendar, decide what to produce, and come with results and plans, not questions.
Editing skills: being able to self-edit for quick-turnaround content is a real advantage
Experience producing video or experience in crypto, fintech, or a technical space
Experience with video ads and performance creative
Has managed localised presenters for different markets
Only think in terms of "I make YouTube videos" and don't see video as a production pipeline
Can't write scripts and only manage production
Produce content by instinct only and never look at data to iterate
Treat thumbnails and editing as someone else's problem
Need daily direction or a content calendar handed to you
Immersion: Get deep on the product, the audience, and Koinly's existing video content. Understand what's been done, what performed, and where the gaps are.
Pipeline: Establish the production pipeline: presenter network, editing workflow, publishing process.
First output: Publish your first videos under the new pipeline. Show you can ship, not just plan.
By the end of your first quarter, you have a content calendar running. Your presenter network is operational with at least 2 active presenters. Video strategy is defined and approved. Baseline metrics are captured and you've completed your first optimisation cycle. The channel is yours and it's producing.
