Working Hours: AU Hours

Work Type: Independent Contractor

ABOUT THE COMPANY:

The Company is a Melbourne-based video production, photography, and social media agency that builds brand for its clients through high-quality videography, photography, and content strategy. Its client roster spans premium and prestige brands—including Bentley and a high-end toffee brand—alongside trades and construction accounts. The output ranges from polished, cinematic brand films to fast-turnaround, on-camera FAQ-style content. the company is expanding its operations by adding a dedicated, Philippines-based Video Editor to collaborate with the established Australian team and maintain a high-end visual standard across every deliverable.

ROLE OVERVIEW:

The Video Editor will take primary ownership of transforming raw footage into polished, on-brand content across the company's client base. The bulk of the workload centers on "TAYA" (They Ask You Answer) style FAQ and educational videos. Over time, the editor will be trained to take on a secondary stream of cinematic, brand-led edits. This is strictly a specialized post-production role focused on end-to-end craft—from raw assets to color-graded, audio-mastered final files—rather than a generalist or social media manager position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Edit "TAYA"-style FAQ and educational videos to a consistent, polished standard matching the company's established benchmarks.
  • Support and progressively take ownership of cinematic, brand-style edits for prestige clients like Bentley and high-end partners.
  • Color grade raw Sony S-Log 3 footage to transform flat log profiles into finished, on-brand visuals.
  • Master audio independently to a broadcast-ready standard following internal SOPs.
  • Manage end-to-end editing workflows in Premiere Pro, leveraging After Effects for motion graphics, titles, and finishing touches.
  • Apply sharp shot selection and pacing, using foundational knowledge of camera operations to curate the strongest footage.
  • Align every edit with specific client branding and tone, spanning trades/construction through to luxury brands.
  • Communicate directly and clearly with the Australian leadership team regarding turnarounds, feedback, and revisions.

Requirements

  • Strong, active portfolio or Instagram presence demonstrating explicit style, finesse, and visual quality.
  • Proven experience editing construction/trades content, brand-focused media, or commercial client work (general editing experience alone is insufficient).
  • Hands-on experience color grading Sony S-Log 3 footage, or strong proficiency with log color space workflows.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects.
  • MacBook required - Ability to work comfortably on a MacBook.
  • High audio proficiency with the ability to execute independent mastering to provided SOPs without hands-on supervision.

PREFERRED:

  • A background or foundational experience in videography/camera operation to inform intuitive editing choices.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom.
  • Alignment with an early-career team dynamic.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Technical Mastery: Dedicated craftsmanship across cutting, color grading, audio engineering, and motion graphics without needing to manage general social media strategy.
  • Communication & Reliability: Direct, punctual, and transparent communication suited to an Australian team culture and fast-paced client turnarounds.
  • System Aptitude: Ability to adopt clear systems, SOPs, and creative workflows quickly and independently.
  • Creative Versatility: The agility to switch seamlessly between fast-turnaround, clear educational edits and high-end, cinematic brand storytelling.
