Tutor Pay & Compensation

• $20–$35 per hour base pay

• Up to $40 per hour for select students and specialized assignments

• Performance bonuses tied to student satisfaction, reliability, and other performance criteria

• Semi-monthly pay, flexible scheduling, and the ability to build a tutoring caseload around your availability

Unlike online-only tutoring platforms and app-based gig tutoring jobs, Tutor Doctor tutors are backed by a dedicated local team — not an algorithm. We personally get to know every tutor and thoughtfully match you to students based on subject expertise, teaching style, student goals, and preferred travel area and availability.

We handle client acquisition, billing, family communication, scheduling coordination, and administrative logistics so you can focus on what you do best: helping students learn, grow, and build confidence.

You'll also receive:

Teaching credentials and experience supporting students with unique learning needs are valuable but not required for every position.

North Phoenix communities. Both in-home and online/virtual tutoring available. Tutors set their own preferred cities, travel radius, subjects, and availability.
