Overview
Due to growth, we are adding a Trainer, Specialty Pharmacy to our team.
The Trainer, Specialty Pharmacy serves as a learning delivery professional within the Learning & Development team. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality onboarding, role-based, systems, compliance, and ongoing professional development training that supports associate readiness, operational consistency, and organizational growth. The Trainer partners closely with Pharmacy Operations, Quality, Compliance, and Instructional Design to ensure learning solutions accurately reflect specialty pharmacy workflows, business processes, regulatory requirements, and performance expectations. The Trainer serves as a subject matter expert responsible for content validation, facilitation excellence, learner readiness, and training effectiveness.

Responsibilities
How do I make an impact on my team?
- Deliver onboarding, role-based, systems, compliance, and professional development training through instructor-led, virtual, and blended learning formats, including but not limited to; hands-on exercises, workflow simulations, case studies, and scenario-based learning activities.
- Apply adult learning principles to create engaging, effective learning experiences that support knowledge retention and job readiness.
- Serve as a specialty pharmacy subject matter expert for learning initiatives.
- Partner with Instructional Designers to validate training content, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and alignment with operational processes, regulatory requirements, and business objectives.
- Apply established standards for training delivery, facilitation practices, learner engagement, and classroom effectiveness.
- Promote consistency across onboarding and ongoing training programs throughout the organization.
- Support the evaluation of training outcomes through learner feedback, observations, assessments, and performance data.
- Identify opportunities to improve learning outcomes and recommend enhancements to training programs and materials.
- Support training initiatives related to system implementations, process improvements, and operational change management initiatives.
- Facilitate learning activities that improve associate readiness, adoption of change, and overall performance.
- Partner with Operations, Quality, Compliance, Pharmacy Leadership, and Learning & Development teams to identify learning needs and support business priorities.
- Provide facilitation expertise and coaching to operational subject matter experts participating in training initiatives.
- Occasional travel may be required based on business needs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
What our team expects from you?
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Organizational Development, Healthcare Administration, Pharmacy, Business, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent work experience, required.
- 3 years of experience in specialty pharmacy operations, healthcare training, pharmacy education, Learning & Development, or a related field required.
- Experience facilitating instructor-led and virtual training programs required.
- Experience onboarding and developing associates within a healthcare or regulated environment preferred.
- Knowledge of specialty pharmacy workflows, payer requirements, accreditation standards, and healthcare regulations preferred.
- Experience collaborating with instructional designers or learning teams preferred.
- Experience utilizing learning management systems and virtual learning platforms preferred.
- Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives.
- The ability to consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees.

USD $56,805.93 - USD $68,440.89 /Yr.
