The Psychiatrist will conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and create individualized treatment plans involving medication and psychotherapy. They are also responsible for maintaining medical records, performing chart audits, and providing immediate care during psychiatric crises.
Associate Psychiatrist P/T
Schedule: P/T 20 hrs per week, dayshift
Compensation: up to $195/hr
Location: Telehealth (must have MO license)
Responsibilities:
The Psychiatrist will conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments to diagnose and treat mental health disorders, primarily in an inpatient setting with some outpatient responsibilities, while providing clinical coverage support to ensure continuity of patient care.
Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications ensuring that treatment plans are effective and adjusted as needed
The psychiatrist will create individualized treatment plans that include medication management, psychotherapy, and other interventions.
Chart audits, peer review, meetings, provider management, etc.
The psychiatrist will maintain up to date medical records, ensuring compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and standards of care.
Maintain and monitor confidentiality of patients and their files; audit files to determine that all services provided are documented; review status of patients to verify that all treatment and therapeutic programs are completed.
The psychiatrist will work closely with psychologists, social workers, nurses, and staff to provide integrated and coordinated care.
Provide immediate psychiatric care in crisis situations, such as suicide attempts or acute psychiatric episodes, and work to prevent incidents through proactive mental health management
Endeavor to comply with the requirements of applicable regulations, laws, rules, procedures, policies, standards and/or contract.
Qualifications:
Active Missouri Medical License and DEA
Board Certified/Board Eligible in Psychiatry
Must be proficient in using Telemedicine technologies to treat patients remotely
