The Opportunity

OneClick Data is seeking a Technical Delivery Manager to oversee Agile delivery execution across our Product Engineering, Data Analytics, and Data Acquisition teams.


This role is responsible for facilitating Scrum ceremonies, tracking sprint and epic progress, managing delivery risks, coordinating software releases, and providing clear operational visibility to engineering and product leadership.


The Technical Delivery Manager serves as the central coordination point across technical teams, ensuring work progresses predictably, dependencies are managed proactively, and stakeholders have accurate insight into delivery status.


This role does not own product strategy or backlog prioritization. Priorities are owned by Product Leadership, Engineering Leadership, and functional team leaders. The Technical Delivery Manager focuses on execution, delivery predictability, reporting, risk management, and release readiness.


This position requires a strong technical background and the ability to participate effectively in discussions involving software architecture, APIs, cloud infrastructure, data pipelines, and system dependencies.



Responsibilities

  • Agile Delivery Management
  • Facilitate Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Tech Grooming, and Sprint Retrospectives across multiple technical teams.
  • Ensure Scrum processes are consistently followed and continuously improved.
  • Monitor sprint execution and team progress throughout each sprint.
  • Track sprint commitments and completion rates.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve delivery predictability and team effectiveness.

Sprint Reporting

  • Produce sprint-level reporting including:
    • Sprint progress and completion status
    • Sprint Burn Down metrics
    • Sprint commitment versus completion
    • Team velocity trends
    • Carry-over work
    • Blocked work items
    • Delivery risks and mitigation plans
    • Release Readiness
  • Track work across the following categories:
    • Features
    • Enablers
    • Bugs
  • Provide reporting on:
    • Work item counts
    • Story points
    • Completed work
    • Remaining work
    • Team allocation by work type

Epic Reporting

  • Produce Epic status reporting including:
    • Epic Burn Up metrics
    • Epic completion percentage
    • Remaining story points
    • Forecast completion dates
    • Dependency status

Risk assessment

  • At-risk and off-track initiatives
  • Maintain visibility into delivery progress across all active Epics and strategic initiatives.
  • Risk and Dependency Management
  • Identify delivery risks early and proactively drive mitigation plans.
  • Track and manage cross-team dependencies.
  • Coordinate resolution of blockers impacting sprint, epic, or release commitments.
  • Escalate issues that threaten delivery timelines or business objectives.
  • Partner with functional leaders to remove obstacles and maintain execution momentum.

Release Management

  • Maintain visibility into all work planned for upcoming releases.
  • Coordinate release readiness activities across teams.
  • Track Features, Enablers, and Bugs included in each release.
  • Maintain release dashboards and release status reports.
  • Ensure release planning aligns with company Semantic Versioning (SemVer) standards.
  • Communicate release readiness, risks, and forecasted release dates to stakeholders.
  • Track release scope changes and impacts throughout the development lifecycle.

Executive and Leadership Reporting

  • Provide regular reporting to Product & Engineering Leadership including:
    • Delivery forecasts
    • Velocity trends
    • Risk assessments
    • Dependency tracking
    • Team allocation across Features, Enablers, and Bugs
    • Serve as a trusted source of delivery intelligence for leadership decision-making.

Technical Environment

  • The Technical Delivery Manager will work closely with teams building and operating solutions using:
    • TypeScript
    • React / Expo
    • AWS Lambda
    • Amazon API Gateway
    • Amazon DynamoDB
    • Serverless architectures
    • JSON APIs
    • CI/CD pipelines
    • Cloud-native application development

The successful candidate is not expected to contribute production code but must be able to understand technical discussions, identify technical dependencies, and assess delivery risks across these technologies.



Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, technical program management, technical project management, delivery management, or related technical leadership roles.
  • 3+ years of experience facilitating Agile and Scrum processes for software development teams.
  • Strong understanding of software delivery lifecycles and release management.
  • Experience working with engineering teams building cloud-native applications.
  • Experience using Jira or similar Agile project management platforms.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Technical Requirements

Candidates must be able to:

  • Understand software architecture and system dependencies.
  • Participate effectively in technical planning discussions.
  • Understand APIs, cloud services, data flows, and integration points.
  • Assess delivery risks associated with technical implementations.
  • Communicate effectively with engineers, technical leads, and executive leadership.
  • Understand release planning and Semantic Versioning (SemVer) concepts.


Nice-to-Haves

  • Previous experience as a Technical Project Manager, or Technical Program Manager.
  • Experience supporting SaaS platforms.
  • Experience with serverless architectures on AWS.
  • Experience working with distributed engineering teams.
  • Familiarity with data engineering, analytics platforms, or acquisition pipelines.
  • Scrum, Agile, PMP, or related certifications.

Compensation: Salary range for this role is $3,000- $ 3,500 per month, based on experience.
