Technical Consultant/ServiceNow Integration Developer
As a ServiceNow Integration Developer at Astrica, you’ll help design, develop, and maintain ServiceNow applications, catalog items, integrations, and other platform capabilities that support an enterprise-wide ServiceNow environment.
You’ll work as part of the Service Central team, helping maintain the stability, efficiency, and performance of a complex ServiceNow development ecosystem spanning multiple instances. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, building thoughtful solutions, and working across both ServiceNow development and integrations.
What you’ll do:
- Build Stuff! Design, develop, and maintain custom ServiceNow applications, workflows/flows, APIs, catalog items, integrations, and other platform capabilities as needed.
- Integrate! Develop and maintain integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, Integration Hub, Action Designer, Data Sources, and related integration technologies.
- Drive quality! Develop and maintain unit tests as part of the development lifecycle and help ensure solutions are stable, efficient, and maintainable.
- Solve Problems! Troubleshoot technical issues and use critical and creative thinking to develop effective solutions across a complex ServiceNow environment.
- Collaborate! Work with business stakeholders to gather and analyze technical requirements and ensure solutions align with business objectives.
- Keep it documented! Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, user guides, and other supporting materials.
- Share Knowledge! Maintain Knowledge Articles associated with functionality and assigned areas of responsibility.
- Keep Improving! Identify opportunities to improve processes, applications, integrations, and overall platform effectiveness.
- Stay Current! Keep up with ServiceNow releases, new features, vendor documentation, and ServiceNow best practices.
- Work Agile! Participate in Agile/Scrum development practices and successfully track, manage, and communicate the status of multiple deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
What you bring:
- 4+ years of experience with ServiceNow configuration, customization, scripting, and development.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong experience with ServiceNow scripting, including Business Rules, Client Scripts, and Flow Designer.
- Strong experience with ServiceNow configuration, including tables, fields, forms, and related platform functionality.
- Experience with REST/SOAP APIs and integration technologies, including Integration Hub, Action Designer, and Data Sources.
- Advanced knowledge of ServiceNow back-end functionality and operations, including experience working across multiple application scopes and understanding of ServiceNow system table structure.
- Demonstrated experience developing on the ServiceNow platform, including core areas such as ITSM, CMDB, workflows/flows, custom applications, and integrations.
- Strong understanding of ServiceNow application design and the ability to plan and build solutions from concepts and basic requirements using a minimum viable product approach.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage and communicate multiple deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a remote team.
Extra Awesome:
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and other web development technologies.
- Experience with ServiceNow Incident Management, Request Management, and Knowledge Management.
- Familiarity with the ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF).
- Advanced familiarity with ServiceNow core product functionality and experience navigating ServiceNow vendor documentation and the ServiceNow HI Portal.
- Experience identifying and implementing process improvements.
- Experience presenting technical or process improvements to leadership.
- Experience researching and understanding past organizational or technical decisions to help inform future solutions.
- Experience supporting ServiceNow application design and development from concept through implementation.
