This position offers a base salary typically between $170,000 and $269,000.
The position may be eligible for a role specific discretionary bonus, relocation, and/or other compensation elements. The Medical Training Lead will be responsible for the alignment, development, and delivery of scientifically focused Therapeutic Area training curricula and content in support of Medical Customer Facing Teams. This includes onboarding, continuous scientific education, and capability development aligned with Medical strategy, scientific narratives, and compliance standards.
This role acts as a key partner to Medical Customer Facing Teams, serving as the primary training point of contact for assigned therapeutic area teams. The individual will collaborate cross-functionally with Medical stakeholders and other internal partners to ensure training materials accurately reflect current scientific data, disease state knowledge, and evolving clinical insights.
Responsibilities include the strategy, design, development, approval, execution, delivery, and evaluation of Medical Affairs training programs, including disease state education, product scientific data, and field medical engagement capabilities where appropriate. This role also includes oversight of training vendors when applicable and ensuring all training materials meet medical, legal, and regulatory standards.
• Ensures that comprehensive scientific, disease state, and therapeutic area training curricula are designed, developed, approved, delivered, and evaluated in alignment with Medical Customer Facing Teams strategy and priorities.
• Proactively provides strategic, scientifically grounded recommendations to Medical team stakeholders, incorporating global medical initiatives and local therapeutic area needs to support continuous capability development.
• Appropriately engages and challenges key Medical stakeholders and external partners on training needs, clearly communicating considerations to support informed decisions.
• Collaborates closely with Medical Affairs functions and cross-functional partners (e.g., Medical Excellence, Clinical Development, Regulatory, Compliance) to develop and implement scientifically accurate and compliant training strategies.
• Accountable for cross-functional project management and application of deep therapeutic area, clinical, and scientific knowledge in the development of training curricula and materials.
• Delivers virtual or live classroom facilitation as well as live coaching to trainees, with written feedback to Field Based Medicine Leadership, addressing strengths and developmental areas when increased demand requires.
• Follows all required protocols for Medical training delivery, retention and documentation.
