WSP is currently initiating a search for a Substation Department Manager in our South-Central region. A hybrid workstyle is preferred; however, a remote workstyle may be considered for highly qualified candidates.

The DM is responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the department to produce a product consistent with WSP’s mission statement and our culture. The DM is expected to achieve the goals of the department business plan, maintain WSP’s high-quality standards, promote internal teamwork (intra- and inter-department), and support the needs of our clients. This position is also responsible for assisting with developing, maintaining, and strengthening client relationships associated with projects in the department while supporting corporate initiatives in line with department business plan goals. This individual will manage a team of administrative staff, drafters, designers and engineers in addition to acting as a technical lead for the civil and structural members of the department. The DM is responsible for working closely with the Vice President, Region Manager (VPRM) and other DMs in the region to accomplish regional strategy goals and to balance direct-award "alliance" client backlog while pursuing competitive-bid local work.
