We are committed to empowering our students to become the changemakers our world needs, wherever they are.  The Opportunity: Unity Environmental University seeks individuals interested in consulting as Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to revise courses in Applied Psychology and Positive Leadership, including a course in Ecopsychology and Nature-Based Intervention (an applied positive psychology course exploring the human-nature relationship through intentional, evidence-informed, systems-oriented interventions and practices). All courses are delivered asynchronously online in 5-week terms and incorporate an applied project that spans the subject matter of the course. SMEs will work collaboratively to develop the curricula with the program director and learning experience designer. We are seeking candidates interested in harnessing the capabilities of AI while developing online courses in the following areas: ecopsychology, positive psychology, environmental psychology, and nature-based intervention design, particularly in interdisciplinary, systems-oriented settings spanning psychology, ecology, environmental science, and community-based practice will be reviewed favorably.Qualifications: Do you have the skills? An advanced degree (Master’s minimum) in Ecopsychology, Positive Psychology, Environmental Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Environmental Science, Human Ecology, or a closely related field Specific expertise, experience, and or graduate course work applying nature-based interventions and practices, positive psychology principles, or systems-thinking approaches to human-nature relationships, with attention to how cultural and ecological context shapes individual experiences of nature Experience with online teaching and/or distance learners is desirable. Ability to write student-facing instructions with clarity. Willingness to embrace the potential of generative AI tools to improve learning and/or workplace performance. Ability to efficiently operate a personal computer and associated software (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.). Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately. Personal commitment to the environmental focus and mission of the University.
