Strategic Engineering and Technology Consultant - Provide advanced technical expertise and strategic planning and guidance that align with long-term business strategy to design, develop, and implement innovative technology strategies and training programs for end-to-end engineering systems, information technology, and academic infrastructure that support teaching, research, and institutional operations. Duties include:

  1. Strategic Advisory: Assessing organizational technology and engineering capabilities and identifying opportunities for growth, efficiency, and innovation to expand NTT’s training solutions into new markets, including emerging sections like medical technology, robotics, industrial hardware, mobility, infrastructure, and public agencies; assessing how various technologies impact infrastructure engineering projects such as roads and bridges to determine how NTT can develop training programs related to these technologies; developing long-term technology roadmap aligned with business strategy and market trends; advising executive leadership and making presentations regarding how to integrate emerging technologies into core business operations to increase efficiency and competitiveness; and providing executive-level advisory on digital transformation, research and development investment, engineering evaluation to support investment decisions, and adoption of emerging technologies.
  2. Technology & Engineering Strategy: Developing organizational technology roadmap aligned with business objectives and industry trends; conducting feasibility studies, systems, modeling, and engineering assessments for large-scale technology initiatives; providing executive-level advisory on digital transformation, innovation, management, and adoption of emerging technologies; designing and evaluating advanced engineering solutions, including mechanical, electrical, software, and systems, depending on sector; leading feasibility studies, cost-benefit analysis, and proof-of-concept initiatives; and recommending and integrating best practices in engineering design, systems optimization, and sustainability.
  3. Technology Implementation & Transformation: Developing organizational technology roadmap aligned with business objectives and industry trends; conducting feasibility studies, systems modeling, and engineering assessments for large-scale technology initiatives; providing executive-level advisory on digital transformation, innovation management, and adoption of emerging technologies; guiding the deployment of cutting-edge technologies such as robotics to medical devices; and overseeing system integration, process redesign, and technology adoption to maximize ROI.
  4. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborating and managing relationships with stakeholders, including C-suite executives, technical teams, and business leaders, to align engineering and IT strategy; translating complex technical solutions into clear recommendations for non-technical stakeholders; and preparing and presenting insights, reports, and business cases for decision-making.
  5. Risk, Compliance & Sustainability: Evaluating risks associated with technology adoption, cyber security, and regulatory compliance; recommending resilience strategies and sustainability frameworks in engineering operations; and monitoring and assessing global technology trends and competitor landscapes.

 

Salary $150,000-200,000. Health insurance, 401k, and PTO. Position requires (1) Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Computer Science, Technology Management, or closely-related field. (2) 2 years of experience in an engineering position focused on designing and implementing innovative technology strategies for engineering systems, including (a) end-to-end engineering and product and/or systems development across multiple sectors, including robotics, medical technology, industrial hardware, mobility, infrastructure, and public agencies and (b) digital transformation, systems engineering, strategic planning, innovation management, advising executive leadership, engineering evaluation to support investment decisions, making presentations, and managing stakeholder relationships. (3) Experience must also include one year of working with engineering projects for infrastructure, such as roads and/or bridges, and analyzing how various technologies impact infrastructure performance. (4) Position is remote and employee may work from anywhere in the United States, reporting to the physical location in Centennial, CO. (5) Approximately 10% of worktime for local, regional, and national travel to visit clients and technology experts approximately six times per year.
