The BCW Technologies Infrastructure (BCWTI) team are seeking a Senior (5+ years experience) Systems Administrator with very high technical and English communication proficiency. This senior Dev Ops engineer will be responsible for entire verticals of operations while also being responsible for coordinating with other members of the team to communicate, develop, and maintain large scale systems.
The BCWTI team is growing and therefore often operates with a high level of expectation. However the candidate will have opportunities to learn and develop skills surrounding technologies such as Blockchain, Hashgraph, Time Series Databases (TSDB), Distributed/Decentralized technologies, and optimization processes. Likewise, BCWTI has numerous educational opportunities including gaining certifications in a variety of platforms and practices.
Additionally, the candidate should have an extremely high level of linux, unix, and platform experience. The Linux specialist will be responsible for setting up, configuring, and optimizing Linux OS-based servers (on both cloud and on boxes). Since we operate in the web development space, proficiency in containerization, server software (NGINX preferred, Apache is okay too), RDBMS, basic Python scripting, and LAN/ISP hosting.
Although general Linux experience is fine, we generally use Ubuntu and Debian variant distributions. Too numerous to list all, a selection of important Linux operations utilizing df, du, htop, tmux, and all memory management modules along with all applicable flags.
We are looking for the following skills to be demonstrated when working for BCWT-I:
- Expert Project Management skills (Jira)
- Expert containerization skills (Docker)
- Expert Cloud Service Platforms skills (AWS, GCP)
- Expert Linux proficiency is preferred (Ubuntu Server)
- Excellent English communication skills
- Excellent Problem Solving and Critical thinking skills
- Intermediate Python/Bash scripting
- Intermediate Systems Engineering skills
- AWS (Certification is preferred)
- GCP (Certification is preferred)
- Kubernetes Experience
- Docker Experience
- Helmcharts Experience
- Ansible Experience
