Sr. PLAYWRIGHT AUTOMATION TECHNICAL LEAD

Zensar Technologies Limited is seeking a Sr. Playwright Automation Technical Lead to own the end‑to‑end automation journey for our clients. In this hands‑on technical lead position you will design robust Playwright frameworks, define automation strategy, drive test execution governance, and act as the primary liaison with senior managers and customer stakeholders. Immediate joiners are preferred, and participation in customer interviews will be part of the selection process.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust Playwright automation frameworks aligned with client requirements.
• Lead the end‑to‑end automation strategy, roadmap, and implementation across multiple projects.
• Drive test execution, reporting, and governance to ensure high‑quality deliverables.
• Collaborate with product owners, QA leads, and development teams to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Conduct code reviews, mentor junior automation engineers, and enforce best practices.
• Present technical solutions and progress updates to senior managers and client stakeholders.
• Facilitate customer interviews and workshops to gather requirements and validate automation approaches.
• Manage risk, issue escalation, and continuous improvement of automation processes.
• Ensure compliance with security, performance, and accessibility standards in automated testing.
• Provide on‑site or remote support for critical production incidents requiring automated test insights.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software testing experience with at least 4 years focused on Playwright automation.
• Proven hands‑on expertise in building and scaling Playwright frameworks (TypeScript/JavaScript).
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) and test management platforms.
• Experience leading automation teams and driving strategy in enterprise environments.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to present to senior leadership and client executives.
• Demonstrated ability to engage with customers, conduct interviews, and translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Proficiency in API testing, performance testing, and integration testing concepts.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and test governance practices.
• Ability to join immediately (preferably from Monday) and work on-site/remote as required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree is a plus.
