Sr. Backend Engineer - Python/FastAPI

What's the role about?

As a Backend Engineer, you'll join a small, lean engineering team building backend services that power AI-driven document drafting and analysis workflows. We're looking for candidates who are highly proficient in Python and FastAPI and are passionate about building reliable, scalable systems while collaborating closely with product and data teams.

What do we require from you?

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience, with strong Python skills and production experience with FastAPI or a comparable framework.

• Experience working with both relational and document databases, particularly MySQL and MongoDB.

• Experience with async/event-driven patterns.

• Working knowledge of AWS microservices architecture, including services such as ECS, RDS, or similar managed services.

• Experience or familiarity with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code.

• Experience with gRPC/protobuf is a plus.

• Exposure to data pipelines, cloud data warehouses, or AI/LLM integrations is a strong plus.

• B2 English level
