| Job Summary/Basic Function: |
Special Education Coordinator, Senior provides professional development training and technical assistance related to implementing statewide and local education agencies specific goals, prioritizing those efforts that result in increased academic achievement for students with disabilities. This position may have the opportunity to work remotely, where all work is performed from an alternate work location within the State of Idaho. |

The Center for School and Community Partnerships at Boise State University has a robust project portfolio. Applicants will join a team of professionals with a variety of expertise in instruction, student support services, school leadership, STEM education, special education, school nutrition, program evaluation, and other topics. |
| Level Scope: |
Recognized subject matter expert who knows how to apply theory and put it into practice with in-depth understanding of the professional field with limited oversight from managers. Independently performs the full range of responsibilities within the function; requires deep job knowledge of area typically obtained through higher education combined with experience. Manages large projects or processes and problems faced are difficult and often complex; analyzes problems/issues of diverse scope and determines solutions. May manage programs that include formulating strategies and administering policies, processes, and resources; functions with a high degree of autonomy. Influences others regarding policies, practices and procedures. |
| Essential Functions: |
● Assigns short-term and long-term tasks on a multitude of consulting projects, primarily facilitating organizational assessments and evaluations. |
| Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: |
● Ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken language. |
| Minimum Qualifications: |
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent plus 5 years of experience. |
| Preferred Qualifications: |
● Master’s Degree in Special Education or a related field. |
| Salary and Benefits: |
