Company Overview

Pantheon Data (a Kenific Holding company) is a private, small business based in the Washington, DC, area. Pantheon Data was founded in 2011, initially providing acquisition and supply chain management services to the US Coast Guard. Our service offerings have grown in the past ten years, including infrastructure resiliency, contact center operations, information technology, software engineering, program management, strategic communications, engineering, and cybersecurity. We have also grown our customer base to include commercial clients. The company has used this experience to expand our service offerings to other agencies within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Department of Defense (DoD), and other Federal Civilian Agencies.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Test Technician to support a mission-critical U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) program involving enterprise real property and facilities management systems. The Test Technician works on high-visibility and mission-critical aspects of the program and performs all functional duties independently. The successful candidate will have 3–10 years of relevant testing, quality assurance, systems, or application support experience. Direct experience with IBM TRIRIGA and/or MREF in a Federal Government environment is a plus, but not required. This position requires an active DHS Fitness Determination or DoD clearance and is fully remote within the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Create, maintain, and complete comprehensive test plans and scripts based on approved business, functional, technical, and system requirements.
  • Review functional and technical requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and system designs to ensure requirements are clear, complete, testable, and traceable.
  • Identify, document, track, reproduce, and retest software defects, configuration issues, data discrepancies, and system errors through resolution.
  • Perform regression testing following application changes, defect remediation, configuration updates, integrations, patches, upgrades, and releases.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by developing test scenarios, coordinating test execution, documenting results, capturing user feedback, and supporting resolution of identified issues.
  • Validate system interfaces, automated data transfers, integrations, reports, and data exchanges between internal and external or legacy systems.
  • Work closely with business analysts, developers, system administrators, technical architects, product owners, and Federal stakeholders to resolve defects and ensure solutions meet Government requirements.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum activities, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, demonstrations, retrospectives, and release planning, as applicable.
  • Support change control and configuration management processes by ensuring proposed system changes have been appropriately tested and validated prior to deployment.
  • Follow applicable DHS policies, procedures, security requirements, accessibility requirements, documentation standards, and System Engineering Life Cycle (SELC) processes.
  • Perform testing assignments independently, exercising sound judgment in determining appropriate test methods, documenting findings, and escalating significant risks or issues.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 3–10 years of relevant professional experience in software testing, application testing, quality assurance, systems testing, systems analysis, application support, or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience developing and executing test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios.
  • Experience performing functional, regression, integration, system, and/or User Acceptance Testing.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze functional and technical requirements and translate requirements into testable conditions and expected results.
  • Experience identifying, documenting, tracking, and validating resolution of application defects.
  • Experience testing enterprise applications in a U.S. Federal Government environment.
  • Ability to work on high-visibility or mission-critical aspects of a program and perform functional duties independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to isolate system, application, configuration, integration, and data-related issues.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce complete, accurate, and auditable testing documentation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate technical issues effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively remotely in cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and produce quality work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite software including Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
