Software Systems Engineer

Make a difference in the lives of others with ITility. ITility is seeking a Software Systems Engineer to support the Defense Logistics Agency program. This is a remote position working on eastern time. 

This position is a part of a proposal, and we are looking to identify Key Personnel by November 1st, but that date is subject to change.

Responsibilities:

The Software Systems Engineer provides the engineering depth behind DLA application sustainment. This person analyzes, designs, modifies and tests software and system components, and keeps the environment stable, secure and current.

• Analyze system requirements and design changes to existing applications and components
• Modify, build, test and deploy software fixes and enhancements
• Troubleshoot complex system and performance issues across application, database and infrastructure layers
• Support security patching, vulnerability remediation and technology refresh
• Produce and maintain technical documentation and design records

Required Qualifications:

• Active Secret Clearance 
• Eight (8) years of experience in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems/Technology)
• IT-II Non-Critical Sensitive designation or Tier 3 (T3) investigation, in place at proposal submission
• Available to start on 4 January 2027 and willing to sign a Letter of Commitment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience engineering DLA or other DoD enterprise systems
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Systems

Work Environment:

• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and perform computer-based work using standard office equipment. 
• Requires frequent verbal communication, active listening, and visual acuity to perform job responsibilities effectively.
• Must follow site-specific safety, security, and dress standards.
