About the Role

We are looking for a Software Engineer – Front-End based in Japan to contribute to the development of a mobile-first trading platform.

This role focuses on building intuitive, high-quality user interfaces and collaborating with a global team to deliver a reliable and scalable product.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain front-end applications using React and TypeScript

• Build responsive, mobile-first interfaces for web and mobile platforms

• Integrate front-end components with REST APIs and WebSocket services

• Collaborate with backend engineers working with FastAPI-based systems

• Implement state management solutions (Redux, Zustand, or similar)

• Create data visualizations using tools such as D3.js or Chart.js

• Ensure performance optimization for real-time data and large datasets

• Translate Figma designs into functional UI components

• Write and maintain front-end tests (Jest, React Testing Library)

• Maintain clean and well-documented code using Git

Requirements

• Experience with React and TypeScript

• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and responsive design

• Experience working with APIs and real-time data

• Familiarity with modern front-end development practices

• Experience with version control (Git / GitHub)

• Ability to work independently in a remote, distributed team

• Professional working proficiency in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with React Native

• Understanding of mobile performance optimization

• Familiarity with app deployment standards (App Store / Google Play)

• Experience with UI tools such as Figma

• Interest in building interactive or data-driven interfaces

💡 Please Note — Equity-Only Structure

This is a part-time, equity-only role, suitable as a side engagement alongside a primary job or consulting work.

The position will transition to compensated status after the MVP launch and once funding or sustainable revenue is secured.
