What You’ll Do

• Build and maintain Vetto’s internal annotation and data collection platform.
• Create reusable components that work across multiple AI training intents.
• Design and implement data pipelines, workflow automations, and quality monitoring systems.
• Collaborate closely with PMs, researchers, and Intent Leads to ship fast.
• Build observability and tooling to track data quality across the entire pipeline.
• Prototype and evaluate new tools and frameworks as the team’s needs evolve.
• Help define engineering standards and architectural decisions as the team scales.

What We’re Looking For

Must-haves:

• Strong software engineering fundamentals (data structures, system design, clean code).
• Full-stack engineering experience across backend and frontend, with comfort working in multiple languages and frameworks — whether that's Python, Node.js or TypeScript/React and similar modern tools on the client side.
• Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Comfortable in fast-paced, iterative environments where requirements evolve quickly.

Nice to have:

• Experience with AI/ML tooling (LLMs, embeddings, evaluation frameworks).
• Experience building internal platforms, annotation tools, or data pipelines.
• Familiarity with infrastructure and DevOps practices.
• Experience at an early-stage startup.
