Software Developer

About the role
We build and operate web platforms along with the infrastructure that runs beneath it. We're looking for a developer who's equally comfortable shipping front-end features and keeping the systems underneath them healthy - someone who wants to own the whole stack rather than be boxed into one layer.

This is a hands-on, end-to-end role. You'll own features from the browser down to the servers they run on. It suits someone who likes seeing the full picture and tracing a problem wherever it leads.

What you'll do

• Build and maintain the web application that serves as the control surface for our platform; dashboards, controls, configuration, and user/account management.
• Develop and maintain the backend APIs and services that orchestrate provisioning, lifecycle, and configuration of the systems we run.
• Manage the infrastructure the platform runs on; Linux administration, containers, networking, deployments, and uptime.
• Set up and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting so issues get caught before users do.
• Own deployment pipelines and keep environments reproducible and stable.
• Troubleshoot across the stack: a slow page, a stuck instance, a networking issue, a failed deploy, and trace it to root cause.
• Keep things documented well enough that the next person (or you, six months later) can follow it.

What we're looking for

• Solid full-stack web experience, comfortable on both the front end (a modern JS framework) and back end (API design in Node, Python, Go, or similar).
• Real Linux server administration, at home on the command line, with an actual understanding of how services, processes, and networking work.
• Experience with containers (Docker) and operating applications in production.
• Networking fundamentals: DNS, ports, firewalls, reverse proxies, tunneling.
• Database experience (relational and/or key-value).
• The judgment to work independently, prioritize, and own outcomes without heavy oversight.

Nice to have

• Experience operating fleets of long-running service instances or multi-tenant infrastructure, including dynamic provisioning.
• Comfort with network-level work; proxies, tunneling, protocol handling.
• Familiarity with orchestration (Kubernetes) or infrastructure-as-code.
• Background in billing/subscription integration for a hosted service.
• Experience scaling a platform with many tenants or instances.
