Software AI Engineer

NeuroHire is seeking a motivated and technically talented Software AI Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will contribute to designing, developing, and integrating AI-powered software solutions that solve real-world problems and improve application capabilities.

You will work at the intersection of software engineering and artificial intelligence, developing applications, integrating machine learning models, building intelligent features, and working with modern AI technologies. You will collaborate with software developers, data scientists, and cross-functional teams to build scalable, efficient, and intelligent software applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications that incorporate AI-powered features and intelligent automation.
• Write clean, efficient, reusable, and maintainable code using programming languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.
• Assist in integrating machine learning models and AI services into software applications.
• Develop and integrate REST APIs to connect AI models, backend services, and application components.
• Work with AI and machine learning libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
• Explore and implement AI technologies, including Large Language Models (LLMs), generative AI, and natural language processing (NLP).
• Assist in building AI-powered workflows, automation tools, and intelligent application features.
• Work with structured and unstructured datasets to support AI model development and application functionality.
• Collaborate with software engineers and data scientists to improve application performance and AI integration.
• Debug, test, and troubleshoot software applications and AI-related functionality.
• Work with SQL and databases to store, retrieve, and manage application data.
• Use Git and GitHub for version control and collaborative software development.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and software development activities.
• Stay updated with emerging AI technologies, software engineering practices, and machine learning advancements.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 0–1 year of experience in Software Engineering, AI Engineering, Machine Learning Engineering, or a related technical role.
• Strong understanding of programming fundamentals and object-oriented programming.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language, preferably Python, Java, or JavaScript.
• Basic understanding of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and deep learning concepts.
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and problem-solving techniques.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, backend development, and web application fundamentals.
• Basic knowledge of SQL, databases, and data manipulation.
• Understanding of model training, testing, evaluation, and basic machine learning workflows.
• Familiarity with Git and GitHub for version control.
• Basic understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs), generative AI, and prompt engineering is an advantage.
• Familiarity with Natural Language Processing (NLP) concepts is a plus.
• Strong analytical thinking, debugging, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to learn new AI technologies and adapt to evolving technical requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Academic projects, internships, or personal projects involving artificial intelligence, machine learning, or software development.
• Familiarity with AI APIs and frameworks such as OpenAI APIs, Hugging Face, or LangChain.
• Basic understanding of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and vector databases.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Familiarity with Docker, model deployment, or AI application development workflows.
• Experience building AI-powered applications, chatbots, recommendation systems, or automation solutions.
